| Can someone tell me what packages I need to emerge to rebuild: su, md5sum, and mke2fs? The checksums on the binaries aren't the same as the last time I did an md5 and I want to rebuild them just in case (it might be a simple emerge -u world problem, as I don't pay much attention to what gets emerged). |

If you have them installed, you should be able to use qpkg (app-admin/gentoolkit) to find out. For example: | Code: | # qpkg -f /bin/su
sys-apps/shadow * |
md5sum is from sys-apps/textutils and mke2fs is from sys-apps/e2fsprogs.

Thanks for the info  Since I had just updated shadow I understand why su's md5sum didn't match. |
