Hi there,
I'm using Gnome 2.16.3 in conjunction with a testing (~x86) system,
ALSA (kernel compiled) for sound on an Intel chipset.
Every time I reboot or log out, my sound defaults to off/muted.
Some help appreciated. |

Have you done "rc-update add alsasound default"? If not, do that.
Also, what does /etc/init.d/alsasound status" say? |

/etc/init.d/alsasound status says started but it still defaults to off when I restart.
Thanks for the answer though. Any more suggestions? |
