Im trying to 'emerge faad2' but it keeps giving me an error saying

Code:

Calculating dependencies
!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy "faad2" have been masked.

I look in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask to try and remove it, but there isn't even an entry for anything remotely looking like faad2 (media-libs/faad2,etc).

Im stumped and appreciate any advice.[/code]

The faad2 ebuild is marked with
Code:
KEYWORDS="~x86 ~ppc"

That means that the developers consider it suitable for testing, but not suitable for stable use. Therefore, it appears as masked. If you want to emerge it anyway, say
Code:
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge faad2

(or, if you use ppc architecture, replace ~x86 by ~ppc) on the command line.
