I followed the guide on the gentoo-wiki.com maybe a year ago and it has worked great. I just found it dead days ago and It's impossible to re initiate.

The computer serves as a local rsync mirror and with it being down I'm using the Gentoo servers more than I need to.

I've read all I could about these problems on Google and as I understand the treason uncloaked messages could be a hacking attempt (or not). The second should not be so serious but It's spamming dmesg.

Tried that and it didn't work. Now I'm running on a fresh install and rsyncd starts normally.

Damn I should have tried that sysctl thing but never got the chance to.
