|
|
Hello fellow Gentooists.
I recently put a bunch of 250GB drives into a single RAID5 array and formatted it with XFS. The performance is amazing. However, in KDE using Konqueror it does not display it under Storage Media.
It has an entry in /etc/fstab and is mounted on boot.
ReiserFs and ext volumes display fine, but the XFS one does not.
Does anyone know what may be causing this ?
Regards,
Andrew |

What do you have set up under the kde control center Desktop->Behavior->Device Icons tab? If you set up mount hard drive media, you should be able to get to your xfs volumes that way. I'm not sure why the xfs media wouldn't show via the media:xxx method tho. |

I am pretty sure it is because they are a software raid device rather than a physical device.
I converted another drive to XFS and it appears fine, just the software raid does not. |
