Hi

I tried to install OpenOffice on Gentoo 2006.1 but after a certain time during the compilation it failed. I don't know a thing about the error. So, can someone help me with this odd problem. Also, when it failed I tried the emerge command again and it failed again.

"emerge openoffice"
Code:
/var/tmp/portage/app-office/openoffice-2.1.0-r1/work/ooo/build/OOE680_m6/psprint/source/fontmanager/fontconfig.cxx:725:   instantiated from here

and of course, the output of emerge --info

After I got this error I tried the emerge --info to know what went wrong but I'm still lost

One guess: you don't have java installed?
(not very likely but the error message reports a null
java ...)

Have a look at the end of your posted emerge output!
In any case, you don't need java to compile openoffice successfully.
Could you please post a little more of the emerge output since
your's doesn't actually show what the error was.
