|
|
Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to stop web sites from detecting your OS while using opera 9. I remember you could tell opera to hide the OS type and the browser type in older versions of opera. I cant seem to find the settings in opera 9. Can anyone help? |

Hi,
I thought it was removed, but it's somewhere else now... Right click on web page, Edit site preference, Network tab, Browser Identification. |

Hey thanks for the info. The per site settings work great. I have diagnostic sites telling me im running IE on WinXP. But I can only fool them if I set it to "Mask as Internet Explorer" the fifth option. If I set it to "Identify as Internet Explorer" the Third option, I still get identified as Opera.
The global settings are a problem. I can only set up to 3 which is "Identify as Internet Explorer", and that does not seem to be fooling to many people.
Thanks for the help |
