Recently I have been having some problems when running ./configure before compiling various things, such as the gftp ebuild, or the lmule cvs. I am getting this error, and really have no idea how to fix it.

configure: error: no acceptable ld found in $PATH

im using gcc 3.2.2 if that helps at all. Any insight into how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
