gnome session error after login

Hi,

I get an error in a popup when I log in using my default gnome-session and it automatically switch to the failsafe session. How can I debug it to understand the reason? The popup only says that there's been an error with the gnome session.

In my .xinitrc i have
exec gnome-session

make sure your permissions are set properly on your home directory i believe they are supposed to be 644. -rw-r--r- in normal terms.

Yes,
they are fine, they are 755.
