Help with CFLAGS on a new AMD64 X2-system

Hi there!

I'm building a new AMD64 X2-system as of tomorrow, and I'm going to install a 64-bit Gentoo environment.
Now, I haven't done much optimizing for two years now, and I really need some advice.

What CFLAGS and/or LDFLAGS shall I use?
I know the basics myself, enough to get a running stable system, but I want a wee bit more that that.

I'm also eager to try out the new beta drivers for nvidia-cards...

The system will have the following components:
AMD64 X2 3800+ (2.0GHZ 2x512k l.2 chache) - Will most likely be overclocked.
2x1024 MB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia Geforce 7600GT
