Hi there,

I'd like to upload another livecd (x86-only) which marks my personal "final" milestone, correspondingly it almost weighs 700 megs (680)

it's kernel is based on 2.6.21-kamikaze3 + powertop-patches (kudos to waninkoko, vipernicus, predatorfreak, intel, ...)

has openoffice, dev-util/git, mercurial, cvs, subversion, kdiff3, beryl and other goodies (beryl only for nvidia, if you can make
Code:
eselect opengl set ati
work, it also works in conjunction with xgl)

does someone know some good sites with ftp-access to which I can upload it or can offer a "mirror" / server for upload?

I think this will make installing gentoo & working during rescue conditions a glance

this livecd's unionfs didn't work for me (couldn't figure it out how) so here are the steps in advance ("amateur-style" ):
Code:

mkdir /tmpfs

mount -t tmpfs tmpfs -o size=1000000000 /tmpfs

mkdir /union

mount -t unionfs -o dirs=/tmpfs:/=ro none /union

mount --bind /union /

mkdir -p /tmpfs/home/user

mount --bind /tmpfs/home /home

chown user:users /tmpfs/home/user

(do this after sudo su)

this livecd shouldn't be called "small gentoo" anymore (since it's a non-supported derivative of gentoo's livecd & small neither, but that should give it a high recall value)

Thanks in advance & greetings to everyone who makes this distribution that great today, god bless you all :)

kernelOfTruth

update:

full mirrorlist will be available shortly ...

see its official thread for more info

I have ample space on a dreamhost account for a project that I'm starting, so I can accommodate you there. Contact me on irc (I'm using the same nick on freenode) or via PM to arrange the details.
