OK, this is my first time using KDE as my desktop instead of Gnome. Mozilla has always compiled and AA has worked beautifully for me.. I did a fresh install on my laptop the other day, and things have gone GREAT! I love my new machine.. My only problem at the moment is that AA is not working in Firefox. The menu's and interfaces are all AA'ed like they should be, but displayed webpages are not anti-aliased. Does anyone know why this happened and how I can fix it? It's tolerable for the time being, but things sure would be much prettier if websites we anti-aliased as well. Thanks in advance for any help.

Same thing happened to me when I switched from gnome-settings-daemon to xfce-mcs-manager.

I had to set antialiasing settings in /etc/fonts/local.conf (or you can do it per user in ~/.fonts.conf).
Gentoo-wiki has instructions for that.
