When I try and start MPD I get this error:

Code:

unable to bind port 6600: Cannot assign requested address
maybe MPD is still running?

I know that this is a somewhat common error but no solution that came from anything else similar works. I've checked that my /etc/hosts matches up with the binding address in my mpd.conf and aside from that I'm stumped.

is /etc/init.d/net.lo started?
