|
|
hi,
I have a problem with my new gentoo installation.
the thing is that apache is starting very slow, it takes 1 to 4 minutes to start.
i've searched the forum and found some things with rngd, and mod_perl but this was not
sloving the problem.
its a new gentoo installation with only a an apache, mysql, php, postfix and courier installation.
The log from last reload:
[Fri Jun 29 09:32:04 2007] [notice] Graceful restart requested, doing restart
apache2: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName
[Fri Jun 29 09:32:33 2007] [warn] NameVirtualHost 213.239.215.219:80 has no VirtualHosts
[Fri Jun 29 09:32:33 2007] [notice] Apache configured -- resuming normal operations
the configuration of apache and php is standard from the installation i've not changed anything.
emerge verbose message:
net-www/apache-2.0.58-r2 USE="apache2 mpm-prefork ssl -debug -doc -ldap -mpm-itk -mpm-leader -mpm-peruser -mpm-threadpool -mpm-worker (-selinux) -static-modules -threads"
I have 2 root servers with the same hardware, on the first there is no problem with the apache.
The Hardware is:
Athlon64 X2 4200+
2GB Ram
2x 300 GB HDD in softraid 0
I have reemerge with emptytree 2 times, this do not solve the problem.
And now I Have no idea to solve it.
Hope someone can help me. Thanks.
For more info just write what you need.

Is the DNS configured correctly? Maybe this is because of some DNS timeout. _________________ Yes, I'm the man. Now it's your turn to decide if I meant "Yes, I'm the male." or "Yes, I am the Unix Manual Page.". |

What did you do to fix this, I am having the same problem, my apache2 server takes a few minutes to startup after installing mod_perl? |
