I just got done installing the KVM modules from source and installing Windows XP.

However when I right click on 'My Computer' it shows the processor as a 412Mhz Intel Pentium II Processor.

My CPU is a Intel core duo 1.83Ghz.

Why is it showing it as this, and what can I do to fix it?

It runs really slow, like the XP guest really was a 412Mhz P2.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Just an (uneducated) guess, but have you tried this: http://kvm.qumranet.com/kvmwiki/Windows_ACPI_Workaround?

Not sure what was / is going on. It's now showing it as a Intel Pentium II Processor at 1.83Ghz, which is what the Proc Speed of my core duo chip, so I think it's better now. I did the ACPI workaround as well and it stayed the same. So it looks like it is fixed for now.
