So I have a VCD in .bin / .cue format; I'd rather not burn it to a cd in order to use it - is there some software that will do this?
I've noticed that eroaster has an option to convert .bin / .cue to .iso (although buggily - anybody know a better way?) - I can loop-mount the .iso, but then don't know how to use the files I can get to that way...
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Did you try 'bin2iso'? |

Just use "mplayer -vcd" - check the manpage for specifics.
Using bin2iso and mounting the image is a sure way of going mad - there's always something wrong with the bin, or the iso doesn't mount or you only get track 2, or no sound or whatever. Try mplayer first! _________________ Excelsior! |

I think what Herodot suggested only works for burned (S)VCDs. If you burn the .bin/.cue I play them with Code: | mplayer -vcd 02 /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 | However for what you want you can just play the .bin file directly. Simply do mplayer filename.bin and it should load up. |

sounds too complicated...
'mplayer movie.bin' always works fine for me. _________________ Too much of a good thing is an awesome thing. |

simply open mplayer, use the open file feature, and browse to your .bin file. I also found it it plays .img (clonecd?) movie files. this gives mplayer an edge over xine. Don't forget to enable cache and set it to 8192.
