samba and write protected files

Hi all

I got a small network with a linux file server and a couple of windows clients. I share folders using samba and everything works ok except that some files and folders are seen as write protected by the clients.. I have double checked the permissions and they are fine.

Could anyone enlighten me on this?

Your smb.conf and an "ls -la" from the dir with the write-protected files would be nice.
