$Windoze -> Up - > Linux == 40k/s

ragazzi ho un problema davvero strano nella mia lan: server linux, client linux e client windowze. Il client linux uppa a velocità piena di lan sia in ftp che con samba, il client windoze invece uppa a 40k/s. Nessun firewall che rompe, provato stesso ip, uso le stesse password per ftp, schede di rete cambiate. Ma il problema persiste

Qualche idea?

Che versione di windows è? Mi hanno detto in giro che le versioni precedenti al 2000 erano un pò farlocche per prestazioni di rete, invece win2000 e xp vanno un pò meglio.

No sono tuti Win Xp e Win 2000.

Prova a settare socket options = TCP_NODELAY TCP_NODELAY SO_SNDBUF=8192 SO_RCVBUF=8192
IPTOS_LOWDELAY.
Il transfer rate basso e' dato anche su altri protocolli (scp, ftp, ecc)???

Ciao Cerri,
sul server linux vi è Pure-ftpd e samba. Il virtual ftp-user non ha nessun limite di banda.. e facendo delle prove di tranfer rate in upload windoze rimane sempre lentissimo anche con sftp ed scp nonchè ftp + samba.

Allora:

1) controlla il segmento di rete che differenzia le tue macchine linux da quelle windows;
2) controlla i driver della sk di rete delle macchine windows.

Sicuramente il problema NON e' samba.

I driver delle skede rete windoze sono aggiornati, ho provato cmq a cambiare le eth0 anche ma con scarso risultato. I cavi di rete sono nuovi, e cmq ho provato a sostituirli ma niente da fare. Il problema non è solo samba ma anche l'ftp. Windoze continua ad uppare a 40k/S a downloadare invece a 8Mb/s.

Non cambiare le sk linux, cambia le sk windows. E controlla il segmento di rete differente.

Cambiate le schede windoze, niente da fare e i cavi sono tutti buoni

Com'e' strutturata la tua lan?
E quando dici cambiate hai proprio cambiato modello?
