When running Acrobat reader 7.0.9 fresh after emerging, you may get a endless scroll of the message "expr: syntax error" (I did), and after some searching I found the solution that I decided I'd post here in case anyone else is having the same problem:
(solution from http://javier.rodriguez.org.mx/index.php/2007/06/01/fix-adobe-acrobat-readers-expr-syntax-error-message/)
simply put, go to /usr/local/Adobe/Acrobat7.0/bin/ and open acroread (it's a shell script) and goto line 418 and find the second [0-9] block and put an asterisk after it. After that the acroread script should work correctly. |
