|
|
So I bought a cheapie mp3 player which can also play .smv video, but the converter only works with windows. I tried wine, but here's what I get when I try to convert files (the program starts up fine and I can load files into the queue, but then this):
Code: | err:ole:CoGetClassObject class {c1f400a0-3f08-11d3-9f0b-006008039e37} not registered
err:ole:CoGetClassObject class {c1f400a0-3f08-11d3-9f0b-006008039e37} not registered
err:ole:create_server class {c1f400a0-3f08-11d3-9f0b-006008039e37} not registered
fixme:ole:CoGetClassObject CLSCTX_REMOTE_SERVER not supported
err:ole:CoGetClassObject no class object {c1f400a0-3f08-11d3-9f0b-006008039e37} could be created for context 0x17 |
I would much prefer a native Linux client, but barring that does anyone have the foggiest of how to make this work? |

Try to open a .smv with mplayer, if you can open it in mplayer, probably you can encode it with mencoder. |

(by the way, SMV stands for Sigmatel Motion Video)
I finally managed to find an .smv file to test playing with mplayer, but I'm not entirely sure I found the right format. Regardless, it didn't work.
1. Could someone link an .smv file so I could test?
2. Anyone know what I'd need to compile into mplayer to be able to play .smv? |
