What I want to do is create a full system cluster meaning instead of just process sharing I want to pool the hard drive space as well I know there are distributed filesystems like lustre but I have no idea if that is what Im looking for can someone guide me in the right direction. Btw this is for 19 1u servers all with independent disks. EDIT actually I want something that exports the disks down to the hardware meaning no fs so I could raid all these hard drives into one large md.

the reason i dont want this is because 1. it adds a single / dual point of failure 2. I cannot cluster everything together thus if server a is overloaded server b can pick it up without say dumping the mysql db and transferring to another box.
