I need to access this stupid website but the webserver keeps returning the MIME-type as application/octet-stream. As a result, Firefox keeps popping me a dialog asking me to save a BIN file. I downloaded it and verified that the file is indeed a HTML document.
How can I view that website properly in Firefox? I tried looking for MIME in Firefox extensions but can't find anything... |

Get the contact address through whois (you may need to negotiate some further bureaucratic layers) and email the webmaster and tell them they're an idiot. Or you could go with the diplomatic approach. _________________ Thomas S. Howard |

Judging by their stupidity, I don't think I should even waste time talking to them. They probably will say something like "What is Firefox? The website displays fine in my computer. You know, the 'e' icon."
So I sort of worked around the problem by using WINE with that stupid software. |
