Hi All,

This is confusing me a bit. Recently I noticed that the KDE menu no longer includes wine or any .exe applications. I need to add them manually. I posted bug #184480 but I am being told that this is meant to be so as a security feature - in line with bug #117785. However, I am not sure that the two are related. Can someone please explain this to me?

Well, some of the menu entries will be *.exe binaries, and that is what ties it to bug #117785. Whether that bug make any sense or not is an exercise left for the reader.

Should I try to install Write.exe? Not sure where I need to place this.

Not sure if it is related, but IEs4Linux will not work either. :(

It is as if all the links between KDE and WINE apps are not working.
