It seems that the 2.6.20-r8 (gentoo) sources don't like my 2TB Raid5, comprised of 750GB disks partitioned w/ parted using the JFS. I get a message at boot time saying that my partition is corrupt and that I should run fsck.jfs to fix the errors. Running fsck only tells me that the whole thing is corrupt, superblocks don't match up, and that I can't do anything about it. Rebooting Gentoo using an older kernel (2.6.17.x) works fine.
hmmm...
any feedback would be helpful. |

Im using genkernel w/ the --menuconfig option. I was explicit about including JFS in the kernel. I actually work w/ a guy who had the same problem w/ a Penguin Computing cluster using JFS and the new stable kernel (2.6.20-r. He built the kernel manually and encountered the same error upon booting. |
