|
|
Hrmm, not sure if this belongs here or in kernel/hardware, but lets give this forum a try.
I'm trying to get ALSA working but it doesn't recognize my card:
Code: |
No supported PnP or PCI card found.
Would you like to probe legacy ISA sound cards/chips?
|
Here's the output of lspci
Code: |
root@tungsten /lib/modules/2.6.21-suspend2-r6 # lspci | grep -i audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02)
|
Here's the kernel config I set to load, what I imagine are, the drivers for this card:
Code: |
<M> Intel/SiS/nVidia/AMD/ALi AC97 Controller
|
I was following this guide: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/alsa-guide.xml#alsa-utilities and decided to build ALSA into the kernel as modules instead of going the alsa-driver route.
Anyone have any idea how I can get this working?
Thx in advance! _________________ -Paul

It's
If you build it into the kernel (as I did) you won't even need to configure ALSA _________________ “And even in authoritarian countries, information networks are helping people discover new facts and making governments more accountable.”– Hillary Clinton, Jan. 21, 2010 |
