Acer TravelMate 800LCi and Gentoo America's Army Game LiveCD

yesterday I received my ordered Acer TravelMate 800LCi laptop, I've played a few hours with it in Windows.. and wanted to tryout the GameCD.
Booting worked, but X didn't start (didn't recornize graphics chipset), no big deal.. I do 'fglrxconfig', which I have read of in the forums here.. xconfig isn't on the LiveCD

After fglrxconfig, I still can't start X.
I rebooted, and went to Windows.. since then my TouchPad doesn't work anymore
Before I ran fglrxconfig I didn't have any mouse in the console, I don't know if gpm is enabled by default?

Maybe it has something to do with heat or something, since I player GTA Vice City and some high quality Pinball game on it before I went to windows.. but that doesn't really sounds like it could happen to me..

Has anyone else here has any experience with this and or knows a (possible) solution?
I already emailed the company where I bought the laptop 2 days ago (I bought it 2 days ago, received it yesterday, and I emailed them today), but I won't get any answer within 2 days because of a national free/holiday here in The Netherlands.
