Hi, I have a problem. . . I'm on a private network behind a router and my router passes out DHCP ip addresses fine but no DNS data. On this box, it's fine because it's configured statically.

I would either like to make my resolv.conf static or edit the "net scripts" that automaticall generate resolv.conf (or both)

resolv.conf says that it is automatically generated by "net-scripts" but I don't know where those would be.

Thanks. . . but I already fixed it.

Yeah, so it was something stupid. I had "nodns" flag set... I also reconfigured some other things that may give me future problems (i.e. resolv.conf is now an empty file with only two nameservers in it) but at least I garned some familiarity.
