A quick google around revealed a xine plugin that apparantly does just that if you want to use xine - http://www.geocities.com/majormms/
However, I think mplayer supports this with the win32codecs package, you should just be able to emerge them both and then open the streams by typing mplayer mms://sitename. |

Ok, perhaps my question wasn't clear. I know that I can visualise the wmv and asf files with mplayer, xine, vlc and even download them. What I'm interested in is to see what files are in the mms:// site i.e. to visualise the tree structure ... maybe some like a ftp-tree view. Or maybe a kind of ls command for such a mms:// site |

Sorry, my mistake, by see I assumed you meant viewing the content. I was actually looking for an answer to pretty much the same question you asked a while back, but didn't manage to find a method of doing it |
