Right now, if I download something and a connection error occurs, it pops up a windows "could not connect to X" and then stops the download. I have to manually restart it.
I have all warning messages off in the kGet config, as well as a permanent connection, 99 retries, and a 15min retry interval. _________________ HW problems. It's a VIA thing. |

From KDE Bugzilla, the most relevant from your description:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49487
The other "resume" bugs are all fairly old (older than this one, and old relative to it) _________________ Thomas S. Howard |

there is only very old bug report.
nothing seems to have changed.
in my kget it starts download and after 1% or less it keeps saying stalled and never resumes. even if i stop and start. reboot also does not help. _________________ reach out a little bit more to catch it (DON'T BELIEVE the advocate part under my user name) |

Do large downloads from the same HTTP server work correctly with other programs, like net-misc/curl and net-misc/wget? I ask because the answer will differentiate between a problem with kGet and a generic problem with downloading large files from the relevant web servers. |
