When i'm following the Virtual Mailhosting system guide, i seem to f*ck something up..
I'm guessing that it's my main.cf file i'm doing something wrong in, because i keep getting this error:
postfix: warning: valid_hostname: misplaced delimiter: .domain.name
postfix: fatal: file /etc/postfix/main.cf: parameter myhostname: bad parameter value: .domain.name
When the guide says:
Quote: | myhostname = $host.domain.name
mydomain = $domain.name |
Does this mean putting them in as-is, or should i place my domain name the manually?.
This is properly orderly stupid, bud i guess i'm reading vmail guides for a reason..
Please bare with me, if i overlooked something obvious.. ![Embarassed :oops:](images/smiles/icon_redface.gif) |

im not sure, but i think you should set the values as-is, IF you set hostname in /etc/hosts and /etc/hostname correctly... check that with env ...
Just a guess, Björn |
