I just installed gentoo to my laptop and I would love to test out the new avivo driver on the xorg but I don't know what would be the Gentoo way to do it.
Does the driver appear on any overlay or should I just try to use the git and download the xorg sources and compile it myself?

Hi, because I can't use my x1600 mobile since it (fglrx) refuses to work with the new 2.6.22 kernel I thought I give the avivo driver a shot.
I just finished my install via git (cloned xf86-video-avivo & libpciaccess) and it works! As far as I could see it's faster with 2D than fglrx.
