|
|
My fetchmail/procmail/formail setup is a bit flaky. As per the Gentoo mutt-setup guide, I have the following procmail recipe for catching duplicates.
:0 Whc: .msgid.lock
| $FORMAIL -D 16384 .msgid.cache
It used to work; then it stopped working for several months; then it resumed working for a few weeks; now, it does not work again.
Any ideas as to what might be responsible?
Thank you in advance. |

Not entirely sure what the problem is but in the past I've had a lot of problems
with fetchmail creating the duplicates by trying to fetch a message that was too
big and caused a time out. This would cause fetchmail to die and start from the
beginning again. That's where the duplication would happen.
I found that using "-e 5" helped with this alot. This causes fetchmail to flush it's queue
after every 5 messages, instead of at the end of it's run which is the default.

Unfortunately, not a problem in this case. Thank you for the response, however. |
