Hi.
I have a p2015dn printer, and after a little grief, I have so say it works great -- almost.
I am having an extremely frustrating problem with it clipping the right border off things.
Here is what I am using:

Yes, that version of gimp-print is unstable, but I have to use it, as 4.7.x doesn't have the driver for this printer (I know, it is listed, but trust me, it doesn't have it).
So, I am making rsvp's for wedding invitations, I am using oofice2.1, and I created text box. Now, if I put a border around that text box only the 3 of the borders print: the top, the bottom and the left. The right side is always missing -- no matter how thick the line. I even flipped the text box 180 degrees, and it ~still~ cut the right side!
I know it is a problem with this printer driver, because my epson stylus does not exhibit the same thing. Since these are for wedding invitations, I need the laser quality.
Anyone have any ideas? Is there a hack to the ppd? Or a better ppd floating around out there?
Thanks!
Addendum:
Interesting... I found that if I print it to a post-script file first, then print it out on the printer, this does not happen... suggests an incompatibility between the hp driver and ooffice.

Check the settings on the cups server (host:631 or the kde cups dialog), it may have the wrong paper size set (A4/letter) _________________ Matthew Steven

That is a very good thought, but it isn't the case.
The text box I am printing is considerably smaller than A4 or Letter. In fact, so is the "page". But, no matter what the paper size, or the text box size, this problem persists... Only through OO... _________________ To look without without looking within is like looking without without looking at all. |

Only other suggestion is to play around in ooffice-printeradmin and see what is in there. _________________ Matthew Steven
