when i search for rt61 in portage (the driver for my wireless card), i see:
[I] net-wireless/ralink-rt61
Available versions: 1.1.0.0
Installed versions: 1.1.0.0(04:25:53 PM 07/14/2007)(kernel_linux)
Homepage: http://www.ralinktech.com/
Description: Driver for the RaLink RT61 wireless chipset
* net-wireless/rt61
Available versions: ~1.1.0_beta2
Homepage: http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
Description: Driver for the RaLink RT61 wireless chipsets
(i have ralink-rt61 installed)
recently my computer has been freezing and i suspect it's the wireless driver. so, er, i was wondering, which driver should i be using, rt61 or ralink-rt61?
thanks. |
