I have recently switched over to Gnome and have pretty much everything the way I want it. The only major thing left is that in KDE I was able to browse windows shares using Konqueror rather easily. In Gnome I am not sure as to what the best route to go is. I use SMB4K, an app I used to use, again for now. While SMB4K is a perfectly useful utility, I would prefer something a bit more integrated. My computer travels around with me and I use shares a lot of school and for personal activities. For that reason a way to browse shares more integrated into Nautilus would be fantastic.

Why don't you just browse your Samba shares within Nautilus using smb://server ?
If that gives you an error you're going to need to recompile a couple of things
with the samba use flag....

Give it a go and let us know how you get on.

I simply had to add the sambe use flag to gnome-vfs. Thanks for the tip!
