|
|
Hi,
I upgraded my kernel, and now, VMware 6 is not working anymore .
The message I get (in user mode) is the following:
Code: | Unable to change virtual machine power state: Failed to connect to peer process. |
I've seen some posts on the forum about this issue, but none of them solved the problem.
In fact, I guess the problem is comming from the pipe:
Code: |

|
The pipe isn't created... I try to force it, but then, the connection is "impossible".
I'm in the vmware group:
Code: | id
uid=1000(bulkangel) gid=1000(bulkangel) groups=10(wheel),18(audio),19(cdrom),35(games),85(usb),100(users),1000(bulkangel),1001(vmware),1005(bioapi) |
I don't know what to do right now (I played with different fils, adding the suid bit, etc, but nothing works )...
Thank for your help
EDIT:
Obviously, I executed the configuration script and the modules are loaded (vmmon & vmnet)[/code]

bulki,
If you are using 2.6.22 ... you need to use the vmware overlay. _________________ Regards,
