|
|
Hi
I'm trying to install gentoo with the 2006.0 livecd on an dual p3 boad (P2B-DS) which has an adaptec scsi controller (AIC 7890 & AIC 3860). On the scsi conroller is a ibm 18gb hdd and a plextor 32x cdrom drive.
IT JUST FAILS
It says that there is no root or boot device detected.
after that there is a screen where I can type "shell" to get a minimal ash or to du something with the boot device, the prompt looks like this: boot() ::
so why gentoo is failing so hard? |

Start the boot CD with "gentoo doscsi". _________________
