Is there any Cisco VPN client for use with gentoo? As Iam trying to switch to gento completely (my work's laptop as well)

Will the vpn-network routable, so that I can install that package on my router as well?

You should definitely give net-misc/vpnc a try. It is an open source cisco vpn client, very lightweight and just works. You will however have to build tun/tap support into your kernel.

I've been using vpnc for connecting to the WLAN at my university's campus, works well enough for me!

There's also net-misc/cisco-vpnclient-3des for the official Cisco VPN client. It's a fetch-restricted build: you need to get the client tarball either from your employer (it's included with Cisco concentrators) or from Cisco via download (using your employer's support account).

I found it on a third-party site through Google, knowing that my employer is licensed for it anyway.
