Hi,
yes, either I'm too blind to find one, or Reiser4 is really dead...I'm looking for a Reiser4 LiveCD with a quite new kernel, but it seems that nobody cares about it. All the old live-cd's I used to know like "lxnay's rr4"-CD are dead now, I guess.

Is it somewhere on the net?
I've tried Kernel-of-thruth livecd's (small gentoo amd64 r5 and r6) and system rescue cd x86 0.3.7 but neither are willing to boot. They all hang after recognizing my built-in multimedia card reader.
I need Reiser4 (with cryptcompress) and Jmicron PATA support.
Tnx _________________ Windoze : Plug and Pay... |

There's still the Kanotix LiveCD(running kernel 2.6.18.1) and LFS LiveCD (I think it has an old kernel), but the best for me has always been the RIP LiveCD (which has either 2.6.20 or 2.6.21). |

Strange, I tried RIP liveCD and latest amd64 LiveCD from Kernel-of-Truth but they all hang at the same point:
my multimedia card readers gets recognized and then... nothing.
I had trouble with the Reiser4 root partition, but wasn't able to do a check. I solved it by copying a livecd to my home partition and booted with that. That way, I could do the checks and repairs.
Thanks for your help. _________________ Windoze : Plug and Pay... |

Darn!
So amd64 livecds with reiser4 are becoming VERY rare _________________ "Dear Enemy: may the Lord hate you and all your kind, may you be turned orange in hue, and may your head fall off at an awkward moment."
