Im unable to start X because of these errors. This is a 1.3b build, everything else has built fine. Im using -march=athlon-xp and -O1. Totally out of clues... revision 12 of the latest xfree. Latest in portage. |

I just spent all day dealing with the same problem.. After googling while waiting for re-compiles (in lynx. Ugh.) I found that you need to add "-fno-merge-constants" to you CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS. Re-emerge. Works. Seems to be that Xfree is looking for some special ELF headers or something that arent there in GCC3.1 (or is it the other way around?).. Maybe someone with more info can explain. |
