I have a USB dongle (from Addlogix) that is some sort of rt2x00 chipset (I think 2570.) It works fine on an old PIII PC, 256 RAM under various Ubuntus. It also works fine on G4 towers running OS X, if not as well as in Ubuntu. Serialmonkey drivers in the OS X case, Ubuntu drivers on the PC are already part of Ubuntu's 2.6.20 kernel, and maybe earlier, too. Anyone ever seen these work in Gentoo on PPC? They didn't work in Ubuntu on PPC.
Has anyone tried compiling the latest serialmonkey drivers in 2007.0? I have no wired network in the house, only wireless (unless I move furniture to the basement, where the wireless router is!) |
