Hi
I'm finaly strated to instal gentoo on mz laptop (ASUS L3800C (P4, RAM-256MB,HDD-20GB,Toshiba combo drive))
During install computer sudenly turned off!
It happened several times!
I have no idea of why is it happening
Please help |

Simple - your laptop turned too hot. Are you sure you have frequency scalling switched on? You might also try to vacuum the vent or use a laptop cooler.

that is not it.
cooling is ok and frequency scaling too.
when write command:
Quote: | emerge gentoo-sources |
then it makes a few steps and turns off at the same place |
