|
|
Hello every1!
About a month ago I bought a new Nokia 6234 phone that has a bluetooth (the old one was just too old after 5 years). So later my firend gave me a bluetooth usb stick. So far everything is very good. But here comes the problem...
I emerged bluez-utils, kdebluetooth, and probably something else also, I can't really remember. Anyways here's the problem, when I use kdebluetooth to connect to my phone, I can connect but when I want to send some files (.mp3, .jpg,...) from my PC to Nokia I can't transfer more than 32KB.
Does anyone know what could be the problem, and if then what could be a possible solution?
It's really very annoying to reboot to windows just because of bluetooth.
Kind regards to you all. |

Dont see any response anywhere other then that we are not the only ones with this problem...
We can just hope the kdebluetooth developers are aware of it and will try to fix it. If someone has a working setup that can transfer files larger then 32kb on obex2 it would be interresting to hear about it.

I agree with you, but I didn't know that was a problem that anyone else had but me. Until recently obexftp didn't appear to be any problem to transfer files to my phone, but lately I can't transfer anything, and even worse I can't really start kdebluetooth. |

Same problem here. Transfer phone -> pc is ok, but the other way round it breaks after transferring 32kB. If I use the obexftp tools, everything works fine.
Additionally there is something weird going on with the URLs. Konqueror seems to crop them, which results in serious problems with browsing the filesystem. For ex. the root directory URL is displayed as: Code: | obex2://xx%3Axx%3A...%3Axx%3Axx@bluetooth:11/ | instead of the full URL: Code: | obex2://xx%3Axx%3Axx%3Axx%3Axx%3Axx@bluetooth:11/ | Is that some bug in KDE URL processing? _________________ We try making things idiot-proof and someone will just go and build a better idiot. |

Last beta reverts back to using obex instead of obex2 and it works again.
it just arrived in portage but there seems to be some problems that the distfile is not on the mirrors yet.
I downloaded it from the link at the kdebluetooth page instead.
Its getting better and better for each release. Progress seems fast at the moment compared to the limbo that kdebluetooth has been stuck in for so long.
My biggest problem left is that my dinovo bluetooth keyboard and mouse has to be re-connected every time i leave it to go into powersave mode.
