Hi
Some apps, afaik the standard gnome apps like nautilus, totem and gnome-terminal sometimes take ages loading. It takes about 10-20 seconds until they are started, not using any resources like CPU or HDD. It doesn't make a difference if there is already one app of that kind loaded. When I start the apps out of themselves (like right-clicking>open in new windows in nautilus or right-clicking>open new windows in gnome-terminal) they start as quickly as usual. other apps like VLC or wine are always starting as they should. It would be great if someone could tell me what I've done wrong.

Perhaps you are running in name resolution issues. Make sure you have the following lines in your /etc/hosts:
Code: | 127.0.0.1 localhost <your_hostname>
::1 localhost <your_hostname> |
