NETMOS parport card doesn't seem to work

iam trying to use my avr isp on this card. Udev recognized it and loads

/dev/lp0 is present.

I have a Asus P5b deluxe, so there is no other onboard lpt

now avreal cannot somehow recognize this port. If i attach an led to pin2 (bit0) of the port it doesn't blink when
