Is sa-exim still the only way to have spamassassin modify the body of the email? And is this bug still the only way to do that?
I don't care too much if my mail is rejected at smtp time or slightly afterwards, but I do really want to be able to modify the body of spammy messages. |

I'm not sure what sort of modifications you mean. I've used report_safe = 0,1,and 2 with spamassassin and postfix and everything is OK. |

With postfix does report_safe modify the body of the mail?
AFAIK with exim the default way of using spamassassin (ACLs) allows you to notice a message is spammy and add some headers, but it only uses the exit code of the spamassassin progress, and so spamassassin options that modify the body of the message (like report_safe) don't do anything. SA-exim allows you to do this, but I don't think the standard gentoo exim package supports this patch. |

As far as I can tell, report_safe=1,2 work as expected. moving the original message to an attachment and adding a note at the top. |
