After upgrading to KDE-3.5.7 evolution will not open URL links in Firefox.
I've tried as root and as user:
Code:
gconftool-2 --set /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http/command -t string 'mozilla %s'
gconftool-2 --set /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/https/command -t string 'mozilla %s'

I've tried both "mozilla" and "firefox"

You are running evolution on kde?

Perhaps you could set in kontrolcenter > components -> component selection -> Webbrowser = firefox.

I think I"m missing some KDE components; when I installed KDE I tried to cut on some parts as I didn't think I need them but now when I try to click on "K" menu - Edit; it is not working so I guess I'm missing some KDE part. I need to compare "world" from my other system to see what is missing.

Have you restartet kde/xserver. If you are using kde while upgrading, then there are the old libs loaded in system, and the new ones on you hd. That can work or not. Do you use kde-meta or the "normal" kde?
