|
|
Here's a link to an online petition urging Macromedia to finally develop a flash plugin for the linux-ppc platform:
http://www.wizdev.net/Flash-PPC.php
Please help and sign the petition, flash is just about the only thing missing from a COMPLETE linux-ppc experience.. |

I disagree, decent video drivers is what's really missing. But that's just me I'd rather get XFree up and running someday, Flash is nothing if I can't see a graphical desktop hehe. |

Well, I haven't been able to get to that site in a few days, and decided to post a petition on PetitionOnline.com. I found some other petitions on the net, other than the wizdev one, and they all were fairly unprofessional, and I didn't even feel comfy signing them.
Alway, the URL is: http://www.petitiononline.com/fla4lppc/ _________________ -j |

I won't sign.
How about a petition for not using flash at all on the web. That sounds more like it. |

No one's twisting your arm, but it's hard to deny something that's became a standard on the web. It's probably never going away. But, if you put up a petition on abolishing the use of Flash (action, not words, ya know?) I'd be more than willing to sign it.
Regardless if Macromedia releases Flash Players for Linux/PPC, or Flash is abolished from the web, we would have resolution for the situation _________________ -j |

I personally don't do a whole lot with PDF files, but thanks for the insight... as I mentioned in a previous post, set up a petition, take some action, I'm more than willing to support the porting of applications to Linux/PPC. In fact, it would probably be a good idea to set up a site and list out what packages are currently working in Linux/PPC, and which don't... might end up being a good thing. _________________ -j |
