Hello Everybody,
I have upgraded my kernel from 2.6.20 to 2.6.22 (gentoo-sources)
I'm getting a very odd problem with my camera
it's a logitech quickcam pro 4000 using the philips "usb-pwc-re" modules.
loading the module works fine,
now comes the weird part,
i start camstream, opening the viewer (camera light turns green which means she responds)
but... no picture! I get a black screen insted of the camera's picture
I shut down camstream, turn it on again and now - VOILA, works. (i see the camera's view)
that means that everytime I turn on my computer i have to run camstream, see it doesn't work , shut it down and re-run and only at the second time it shows picture.
I wouldn't mind it much if video conference in Kopete worked
whenever i open the "device" section in kopete configuration - camera's light turns on but... black picture.
Any ideas?
Thanks everybody!
b.t.w - I ran camstream from CLI to see if it gives any error message... nothing
stops as CVideoDeviceLinux:run() anyways (whether it works or whether it doesn't)
edit:
I tried loading my old kernel 2.6.20 and... same problem
I don't know if it's a kernel problem anymore |
