Can anybody tell me what a good direct connect client for linux is that has a gentoo ebuild and what are the packages that i need to get for it...thanks |

The only gentoo ports of dc clients i have seen is the dc-gui and dcgui-qt. and for it i believe all u need i belive is just the dclib. _________________ do you think animals believe in god? |

I use dc-gui, and if I remember correctly it is listed as dc_gui in portage. It works great. The GDL part for downloading different parts the same file from multiple users is great. It allows a search string to be attached to downloads and then queues up the results. Setting bandwidth limits, connecting to multiple hubs and such is all very easy. It's better than any of the windows clients I have seen. |

The latest versions of dcgui-qt crashes on startup for me. Dc-gui was too resource consuming for my machine, also very buggy. Do you know any other dc client that are actively developed? |
